Question : pc acquires ip address but can't ping router or internet

pc acquires ip address but can't ping router or internet
connected to netgear router and was working this morning.  Changed routers and second one didn't work so I reverted back to the original and now it will connect, acquire, but then can't ping even the gateway much less anything else.  Repair does not fix.

Thank everyone... turned out to be Intel Wireless Pro software causing the problem.  By disabling it I could connect and get to the internet.  Reenable the Intel Wireless Pro and it was like being firewalled.  Despite being able to acquire an address I could not ping the router, the pc with its own ip address or any internet ip.  Kill the Pro Wireless and connected just fine.  Probably an uninstall/reinstall would have fixed it but client was satisfied as it was.
