Question : Cisco VPN Client 4.6 error 412

I get this error (412) when trying to connect to my office through our VPN. I'm using a westell router at home...could this be a router setting? I've tried turning off my firewalls, I've checked setting on the VPN and my client...everything seems to be fine... Thanks, Sincerely, Dina

Some routers require an upgrade for the VPN Client to work --
What model Westel? DSL? Cable? Have you the latest firmware software?
Does your firewall/router having a setting to enable IPSec passthru? Usually this setting would be enable by default, but check even so.
Do you have a straight to DSL/Cable plain modem to connect for testing to elliminate your router/firewall as the problem?
