Question : SBS 2008 FTP Time Out

HI there, we have a new SBS 2008 box. We run an application that has worked for years on Windows 2003 server that downloads .txt files via FTP into a folder on the server. Since the changeover when we initiate the download it last for a short burst of about 15 1KB files then stops. We then cant re run for about five mins and it downloads another short burst and the procudre carries on till it gets them all. This is very frustrating as the directory fills as fast as it empties. Any ideas?

Answer : SBS 2008 FTP Time Out

Have you tried increasing the timeout, by default it's 120 seconds.

Goto Start > Internet Information Services (IIS) 6.0 Manager
Expand Servername > FTP Sites and then right click on the default FTP Site and select properties on the front page there is a Connection timeout (in seconds) try adjusting this.
