Question : can't repair wireless network connection....says can't renew my ip address..what do i do?

saw a yellow exclamation point on my wireless network icon.

right clicked on it to "repair it"

got the error msg.  "Windows could not finish repairing the problem because the following action cannot be complete:
Renewing you IP address"

so i run CMD.  ipconfig.
did ipconfig /release
then ipconfig /renew

then got the error msg.

"no operation can be performed on LAN while it has its media disconnected.  an error occurred while renewing interface Wireless Network Connection: the requested service provider could not be loaded or initialized.

What does this mean?

On ipconfig /all I noticed it says under
Ethernet adapter LAN:;
Media State: ....Media disconnected..

that looks new to me...any ideas?

How does it look in device manager?

You might simply need to do a physical reset of the router.  There should be a small hole near the antenna, depress it with the tip of a pen for 10 to 20 seconds, the lights should flash as it reboots. After everything is down blinking, try connecting to it with security disabled.  You will have to reset any security settings in the router, especially the password because it will be the default one everybody knows.  Let me know.
