Question : Share a printer across 2 networks
I just finished moving a company into an existing building and merging with another company. I now have 2 seperate networks, which is what the client wanted but now they decided they would like to share a Copy Machine/ printer that is on one network. Right now a RCN Modem (w/ 5 static IPs) connects to a small Switch, the switch then connects to 2 routers, one for each network and then each router connects to a 16 port switch for each network. The servers on each network are handling DHCP. Everything is working just fine. Network 1 (with the printer) is 10.0.0.1 thru 10.0.0.254 Network 2 is on 192.168.0.1 trhu 192.168.0.254 What is the easiest way to share the printer on Network 1 with Network 2? By the way, network i1 s running Server 2003 and network 2 is running SBS 2003.

Or, and this is just a thought, since you have a switch out in the 'public' area of your LAN, you could run a print server directly off of the switch, giving it a 'public' IPAddress..
