Question : Zoom X5 DSL modem as a bridge.

Hi there
I've a Zoom X5 DSL modem.
Currently it is doing NAT and serving several PCs connected to its switch ports.
I want to use this machine as a bridge instead, where I will connect only one PC to it, and this PCs ethernet card will get the modem's ip address just like cable modems do.

could you please help me on achieving this?

Answer : Zoom X5 DSL modem as a bridge.

I believe this is what you are looking for:

Go to the Advanced Setup page, and click the Miscellaneous Configuration button.  Enable PPP Half Bridge.  The client should now have the WAN IP address.

Here's the description of what it does from the manual:

PPP Half Bridge: Disabled by default.  Enabling this feature forces the DHCP server to duplicate the X5's WAN IP address to on local client computer; thus, only one computer on the LAN can access the Internet at a time.

Hope this helps.
