Question : Is Modem can be used as Network Card?

Hi, Im just started learning about the networking.
As I know that we definitely needs a network card in every PC to do a networking.

By the way, other than using the Network Card to link each PC together, can I use Modem as the Network Card to do a networking ?

How to use Modems to set up a networking?

Yes, you need a card in every machine, and a working TCP/IP setup. Then you need a proxy/nat/masq setup.

Look at www.sygate.com, www.winroute.net, wingate.deerfield.com (i would recommend them in that order)

Install the software on the machine with the modem, and you should be all set.
