Question : Setting up Netware/IP services on NW4.11

I have set up the Netware server (4.11) with both IPX and IP, all works fine. When I try to set up Netware IP services
and install DNS services and create the zone, still all seems fine. Trying to start NWIP fails to find a DSS and terminates.
What is DSS used for and how do I set it up so that NWIP will start.

Settings:
  -TCP/IP 192.168.0.1 (255.255.255.0)and IPX on server
-DNS Zone training.com with SOA, NS and A records
  -Network configuration through INETCFG

Additionally my client wks. (W95 w/Client 32 ,IPX, TCP/IP) also fails to see the server after
trying to load NWIP.

Have tried virgin and with Patch 7a.

Answer : Setting up Netware/IP services on NW4.11

DSS is the Domain SAP/RIP Server. It is setup using the UNICON utility which you should also use to configure DNS. More info can be found at http://www.novell.com/documentation/lg/nias42/docui/index.html#../uscomm/nwip_enu/data/hb2hwq3z.html

Also, why do you need Netware/IP? You can use TCP/IP on a Netware network without loading Netware/IP.
