Question : Unable to Disconnect Network drive

Hi Experts,

I have a windows OS schedule task that maps a drive to copy some files.  When I found out that the job has hung, I killed it on Task Manager, and then the mapped drive is stucked.  I could browse it, but when I tried to disconnect it (both command and GUI disconnect), it wouldn't disconnect.  I tried not to reboot it, since it is a production web server.  I searched on google and see that there are many issues about this, but none of them I've seen so far would solve the problem.  Anyone has any idea on how to remove this stubborn network drive matter?  Thank you!

Answer : Unable to Disconnect Network drive

The explorer.exe process may be maintaining the drive link, perhaps try shutting down explorer from task manager then killing the drive mapping from command prompt.
