Question : Directory Structure for Exchange 2007 Continous Cluster Replication

Should log and mail databases reside on seperate spindles on both nodes in an Exchange 2007 CCR environment?
Once the the two nodes are installed, having problems placing the files in the proper disk arrays so that replication and movement crossing modes works properly.
