Question : Home network printer share...

okay, once again I have 3 computers on a routed network (cable coming into) 2 computers are XP and one is 98...the 98 computer has the printer...when I share the printer...and try to print something from it...it always gives me an error! ... I don't have any software sharing it...just through my network....when I go to print, I can see the printer but, i print..and it either gives me an error, or nothing happens...

Thanks!

Answer : Home network printer share...

The Printer driver for this is already native to Windows XP.  That is why you can't find a driver for it.

On the XP box, when you select "Add A Printer" and the "Add Printer Wizard" comes up, Choose a "Networked Printer or Printer attatched to another Computer".  From there you should be able to install the printer.  If prompted for the Drivers, simply specify the printer make and model from the drivers page.

Hope this helps,

Mirfster.
