Question : How to configure two T1 internet connections with two different ISPs
My company currently has a T1 internet connection with and ISP. We also have another T1 internet connection with a different ISP that we are paying for, but is not being used. Is there a way to configure the second internet connection to work along with our current internet connection. Our router is a Cisco 2600. I've heard that it's possible to configure the two separate connections by using BGP. We probably wouldn't implement this our selves, but want to understand how this works and pros/cons. Are there other ways to do this besides BGP, Thanks!

I believe you have to at least have a /24 block of IP addresses to at least register for an autonomous system number with IANA. Then you have to have each ISP make special configurations for you. You have to also have a fairly heavy duty router as well depending on how you plan to set it up. There are a lot of different ways you can configure BGP, so you typically need a consultant that specializes in internet routing. BGP is a really cool protocol, if you would like to learn more about it I would recommend reading Internet Routing Architectures v2. Anyways, hope that helps.
