Question : Open outgoing TCP connection

Hiii

I have a network at home and using wingate as proxy server. On clients when i want to run sms chat applet it gives me error: You need to open outgoing TCP connection to Port 9999 on your proxy Server. I have created a new TCP Mapping Service in wingate on port 9999 but that doesnt solve the problem. Can anyone help me in this regard.

Answer : Open outgoing TCP connection

You will need to know which server does your sms chat applet talk to. e.g vicnet.net.au
By the way, what sms chat applet you using?

Then you need to fill in the rest:
1)Service Name: This can be anything you want e.g. IRC

2)Description Name: This can be anything you want e.g. IRC

3)Connections To Service: This needs to be ticked and the port needs to be set to 9999

4)Default Mapping: This also needs to be ticked with the Server set to (the server name your sms chat applet talk to) and the port set to 9999.

5)click on the bindings tab and make sure that the network interface connections are bound and started.
