Question : Need Help properly configuring SBS 2003 with 2 Nics - one linksys router

Can someone give me a step by set on exactly what my settings on my network should be for router, nics, dhcp and DNS.  I want to use DHCP and DNS on server and disable on Router. And I want to manage what websites my employees can access when they are at work. There are only about 4 websites they need - and they don't include games!!  Trying to get resolved this weekend. My current settings will either allow all the internet or none of the internet. I have changed DHCP and DNS settings so many times I can't remember what is what no more.  Thanks for your time.

Answer : Need Help properly configuring SBS 2003 with 2 Nics - one linksys router

Suggested configuration:
Router WAN configuration:
Static IP =70.183.227.16
Subnet mask = (provided by ISP, probably not 255.255.255.0, more likely 255.255.255.248 or similar)
Gateway = 70.183.227.5
DNS = 192.168.20.1  (Server’s LAN IP see below)
Router LAN configuration
LAN IP = 192.168.16.254
Subnet mask = 255.255.255.0
DHCP = Disabled

Server’s network adapter configurations:
WAN/External network adapter
IP = 192.168.16.1
Subnet mask = 255.255.255.0
Gateway = 192.168.16.254
Primary DNS = 192.168.20.1
Alternate DNS =

LAN/Internal network adapter
IP = 192.168.20.1
Subnet mask = 255.255.255.0
Gateway =
Primary DNS = 192.168.20.1
Alternate DNS =

DNS configuration:
Open the DNS management console (administrative tools DNS)
Click on the server, in the right hand window click forwarders.
Should show the ISP’s DNS 68.105.154.21 & 68.10.180.25

DO NOT configure this manually. Use the Wizards. If you are changing the server’s IP use the “Change Server’s IP address” wizard. And to change the others use the CEICW wizard (“Connect to the Internet), both of which can be found on the server management console under Internet and e-mail
