Question : SSL for testing an intranet application

Hi:

We have an ASP intranet application and for the process of certification under SSL we downloaded a test certificate from Thawte. As stated for they this trial certificate gives an warning message/window in the browser when trying to open the site, when we dismiss this alert we can continue the testing without problem. However when we try to consume a Web Service we have an error and we suppose that it is related with having a "trial" certificate.

Can we test this functionality without having to buy a certificate? How?

Answer : SSL for testing an intranet application

It finally worked!

Instead of trying with XCA i tried installing Microsoft Certificate Server, creating the certificates and the certificate authority, distributing the corresponding files to the machines trusting my own certificate
server and it worked wothout problems!
