Question : A Single Sign-on error has occurred. Please contact an administrator. Details: Could not find domain controller for this domain

Hi,
I have installed Sharepoint 2003 and it all seems fine up unto the point where I am trying to set up SSO (single sign-on).  I have followed the microsoft instructions exactly.  I have created a specific user, I have granted them domain admin access, I have given them server administrator access to the sql database.  However, when I go to apply my settings to the manage server settings for single sign-on web page.  I receive the following error:
'A Single Sign-on error has occurred. Please contact an administrator. Details: Could not find domain controller for this domain'

Can anyone help with this at all, I am desperate and I can't find a resolution to this problem on any user groups.
Thanks
