Question : ADSL Service Issue- does not connect automatically every time
I have a customer who is a nervous pensioner. She has a simple broadband connection into her house with Bigpond.
Her issue is if the service should ever go offline. It does not automatically connect back up to her service immediately. Her modem is set to automatically connect everytime, but it seems it doesn't. I have replaced her modem with a new one, but the same thing happens.
When we find her service is not connected, we can go into the web interface of the modem, look at the status, it says disconnected. if we click on connect, it will connect and be fine after that.
But if there is a power cut, or for any other reason the service connection drops it will not connect automatically again every time.
Does anyone know what this would be. Her service was fine for the last few years, until recently when this issue starte happening. I can not see any issues with her house phone lines in that she has two other phones on the line which are filtered and everything worked fine until recently!
Answer : ADSL Service Issue- does not connect automatically every time
I never was able to find a definitive answer for this issue. It seems to have calmed down now, so maybe it was an issue with the service provider more than the hardware in the house
Thanks for all your help!
