Question : Access my home network from my work laptop when I am at home and logged into my work's VPN

When I use my laptop at home I can normally access the shared folders on my home PCs on my network, but once I log in to my work's VPN from home, I can no longer access my home PCs (I can still see them on the network map - just can't access them).  Both my home PCs and my work laptop are running Windows Vista (Ultimate and Enterprise respectfully).

Is there a way I can still access my home network when I'm at home but connected to my VPN?

Thanks in advance, Jon

p.s. I am aware of application such as Hamachi that will let me access my home PCs over the Internet, but I do not want to do it over the net when I am setting at home on my nice Gigabit network :)

I would disagree. You did get a solution which is this behavior, of the VPN client,is an intentionally deployed security feature and can only be changed by the administrator of the VPN.
