Question : Client needs 9000 IP Addresses re-addressed
I'm considering a project where a company, after a merger, needs 9000 IP addresses mapped out. I have no other details yet. I'm wondering what my initial top considerations should be to ensure I do this the best way. Thanks for your input.
Answer : Client needs 9000 IP Addresses re-addressed
Hi,
NATTING will be your best friend. You will cut the "big" network in pieces. NAT device (L3 switch/router) will "mask" the old IP address with the new range. Face by face re-numbering the hosts, statically or the prfered one dynamically.
