Question : DNS won't resolve external mail server

I am running a Windows 2003 SBS, with AD that previously was running Exchange for han.com.  Domain name is han.com  We recently removed the Exchange server and pointed our public DNS record towards the mail service providers server.

On the local network if I try to sent mail to a han.com recipient the outlook client gets a 0x80040201 error.

This appears to be DNS related.

nah you want an a record if you do that but like i said there are better ways. what you really want to do is redirect that specific address to an external dns server for resolution
