Question : Server can't resolve names

Hi!
I have a Windows 2003 Standard server as DC with DHCP and DNS installed and workly ok. It's the only server in network. My problem is the follow:

 Server can't resolve DNS names. All machines in network can send and receive ping.
 Machine ping server -> ping server [xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx] < 1ms   -> OK!
 Machine ping other machines -> ping othermachine [xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx] < 1 ms   -> OK!
 Server ping machine -> ..... KO!
 Server ping xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx -> ping xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx < 1 ms -> OK!
 Server ping -a xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx -> ping MACHINE [xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx] < 1ms -> OK!!!

Thanks!!

Answer : Server can't resolve names

How have you configured the TCP/IP settings for the actual server?  I imagine you have it set with a static IP address.  Did you set the DNS settings to itself or to remote DNS servers (from your ISP for example).  What you want to do is set the DNS settings to itself, not to external servers.  Where you would input the external DNS servers is in your DNS Server properties as forwarders.

Please post back if you need help getting this configured.
