Question : My Dlink DSL 604+ Wireless router connects - But i can't get onto the web
|

Hi,
I have just set up a DLink DSL 604+ Wireless router at home. I followed the .pdf and set it up as it said. In the router configuration i have it set to connect automatically when i access it through it own IP it says connected.
It automatically gets my ip/gateway from my ISP.
From the router i can PING external IP's. But when I try to ping from my PC or my laptop (which is set up with wireless access) it doesn't work and obviously wont connect to any web pages,
The documentation says that once the router config says 'connected' i should be able to browse the web, but i can't.
It does however enable me to use my computers networked so i can browse files on each computer internally.
Any one help me? Am i missing something simple...?

Otherwise you can setup a VPN Connection, this is the secure way to connect remotely to your network. I think your router supports VPN Connections so you might give that a try. With VPN you create a tunnel through internet to your network, with security and encryption. This way it's harder for hackers to sniff your line with your network.
