Question : w32 time & nntp errors

Hi all

We're a small office - have 2 win2k fileservers both set as DCs.  The master dc is called Exchange1 and funnily enough also runs exchange.  Now for a long while I've been getting

The Windows Time Service was not able to find a Domain Controller. A time and date update was not possible.

Which I've been cheerfully ignoring since most of my job is product support and the bosses think that the network doesn't need maintenance god bless em.

BUT yesterday we had an Exchange outage.  The sequence of errors was:

The driver disabled the write cache on device \Device\Harddisk0\DR0.

Dynamic registration or deregistration of one or more DNS records failed because no DNS servers are available.

The Windows Time Service was not able to find a Domain Controller. A time and date update was not possible.

The server was unable to add the virtual root '/' for the directory '/Internet Newsgroups' due to the following error: The parameter is incorrect.  The data is the error code.

The server was unable to add the virtual root '/public' for the directory 'M:\mel.aus.local\Public Folders' due to the following error: The system cannot find the path specified.

The server was unable to add the virtual root '/Exchange' for the directory 'M:\mel.aus.local\MBX' due to the following error: The system cannot find the path specified.

The server was unable to add the virtual root '/Exadmin' for the directory '\\.\BackOfficeStorage' due to the following error: The system cannot find the path specified.  The data is the error code.

The E: disk is at or near capacity.  You may need to delete some files.  Which probably isn't relevent it's still got 500 mb free and aint the OS or exchange drive.

I re-started the server and it all came back to life.

So I need to know if this is anthing to worrry about and what sequence of checks should I go through.

Incidentally the clients don't appear to be synchronising the time with the DC.
