Question : The network path was not found

I have two computers connected to a win 2003 SBS. One client is XP Pro and the other is WIN 2000 Pro. Currently I am trying to share a printer that is setup on the win200 machine from the XP pro machine. basically I get network path was not found.

however if I try connect to the printer from the server it works fine. I can ping all machines on the network from each other and vice verser both with IP and Netbios name. I have logged on as domain admin on the XP pro machine and still cannot connect to the desktop that has the printer on it. I can though connect to the server and get access to printers that are directly connected to it.

I can't see this as being a permissions problem as I have tryed varios different logons and they don't work. I have tryed to telnet to the file sharing port from the XP machine and that does not work but i can from the server.

very frustrating as this was working the other day and then just died....

Help!!!

Answer : The network path was not found

make sure that the Windows Firewall is not interfering.  On the XP computer, go into control panel and then Windows Firewall.  Disable temporarily and try again.  Also make sure that NetBIOS over TCP/IP is enabled.  You can find this in the network properties under TCP/IP properties.  Click Advanced and go to the WINS tab.
