Question : Wallpaper in terminal sessions
have a 2003 server that is both a domain controller and a terminal Server. Users are logging in with an rdesktop client to a terminal server session. I am trying to set a specific wallpaper for each of these users and I am unable to do so. I can change the color of the background but I cannot select a new background. I can open a bitmap and set is as wallpaper but only for that particular session--it still won't stay after log off. I can select and keep a wallpaper when I log in locally but not in the rdesktop environment.

2 ways. 1) Open the group policy management console on your domain controller ( enter gpmc.msc in the start/run box). If not installed you can download from: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=0a6d4c24-8cbd-4b35-9272-dd3cbfc81887&DisplayLang=en I highly recommend it. It makes life much easier. In the console the last item in the list on the left is "Group policy results". Right click on it and choose "group policy results wizard" and follow the instructions. You can specify the computer and/or user for which you wish to see what policies are applied.
2) You can run the GPResult command line tool on the computer in question, the terminal server in this case: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/setup/expert/gpresults.mspx
