Question : MS Exchange 2003

Hi pal,

We are running Windows 2003 network. We have a MS Exchange 2000 System in our network. Recently we installed a new Exchange 2003 server to the existing network. Then we also upgraded the old Exchange 2000 server to 2003. Now we have two Exchange 2003 servers in Windows 2003 domain. We don’t any other Exchange Servers now.
After these changes we can’t backup the SRS (Microsoft Site Replication Service). Moreover we can’t see the SRS under Tools menu in Exchange System Console.

When I try to back up ntbackup return this error message: “The 'Microsoft Site Replication Service' returned 'Error returned from an ESE function call (d).' from a call to
'HrESEBackupSetup()' additional data '-'The 'Microsoft Site Replication Service' returned 'Functions called in an
invalid sequence.' from a call to 'HrESEBackupClose()' additional data '-'
The operation was ended.”

We can backup Information Store and System state.

Please help me to solve the problem.
I am very new to Exchange.
I think I can’t restore the exchange without SRS backup.

With Regards,

Your Friend.
