Question : Error creating Virtual Adapter

Hi,

While installing a VPN Client called IP Sec, we're not able to install it because it gives an error "No Virtual Adapters Available".  It seems to have an issue creating this Virtual Adapter and we're not sure what is going on.  We are trying to install this VPN software on a brand new and formatted Leveno T60 laptop, and we've already tried disabling all network adapters, including the modem to get this to install correctly.  I'm now in the process of installing XP SP1, thinking that SP2 is causing problems, however there are no firewalls enabled on this machine.  Is there anything that I should be looking at as far as services, drivers, cards that could be affecting a virtual adapter from being created?
