Question : NIC status display in Windows XP -- Duplex Status

Does anyone know how to display the NIC interface duplex status in Windows XP? When the interface is set to auto sensing and there's no way I can know the state from the switch, how do I get that information from XP?

Thanks...
Jim

Answer : NIC status display in Windows XP -- Duplex Status

i belive if you go to CMD on the XP machine and type...

netstat -e/-i  depending on platform.

if the counter for collissions is non-zero  then the nic is in half-duplex mode.
if the coutner is 0  and there is a lot of network activity  then it
is 99% probable that it is in full-duplex.

i would check on my machine but im using dial up adsl at the moment and don't get collission stats.
