Question : Exchange Server Outgoing Message Size
I have Exchange Server 5.5 SP 3 running on an NT 4 SP 6a server.
Everything works fine except for large attachments (greater than about 4 megs). When trying to send them, I get the following message:
Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.
Subject: XXXXXX X.X XXXXX X
Sent: 6/2/00 11:06:28 AM
The following recipient(s) could not be reached:
[email protected]
on 6/5/00 9:48:41 AM
Unable to deliver the message due to a communications failure
(There is some info on the MTS and IMS here.)
552 sorry, that message size exceeds my databytes limit (#5.3.4)
I replaced some of the info in that message with the letter X. :-)
I checked the IMS and there is no limit in place. I also checked the registry under HKEY Local Machine, System, MSEXCHANGE, EXCHANGEIMC for both the OUTBOUNDSIZE and INBOUNDSIZE to check their limits, but they are not located in there.
Any ideas on how to get rid of that limit?
Thanks!
Answer : Exchange Server Outgoing Message Size
Are you sure that the recipient isn't the one with the attachment size limit? I also am using 5.5, sp3 and have not seen this problem.
