Question : How to unjoin from domain without domain admin password

Hello,

We have a win XP laptop that belonged to domain, however we don't have access to that network any more and would like to change the setup to workgroup. It obviously asks us for a domain admin password when trying to unjoin from the domain, but we have only local admin password. Is it possible to change the setup to workgroup without reinstalling windows?

Answer : How to unjoin from domain without domain admin password

once you are disconnected from the domain, the local admin password should let you....just don't do it under a domain login and have your network cable unplugged
