Question : Problem with Google.com

I have a broadband conncetion, Linksys router and Iam using two laptops in the network.   when I try to open Google in IE its not working. I can open all other sites excep google. Is there any solution for this. I dont think its problem with IE because its not working in both the laptops. and when I conneted the laptop to other networks, I can open google.

Answer : Problem with Google.com

Go to %windir%\system32\drivers\etc   (usually C:\Windows\System32...etc)
and open up the HOSTS file with notepad.  Simply add in (i believe there are directions in the file) on how to add in the information.
It should be
domain name  : IP address  or something like
(straight from the host table on my PC)
# additionally, comments (such as these) may be inserted on individual
# lines or following the machine name denoted by a '#' symbol.

# For example:
