Question : No WAN IP Address
|
|
Trying to install a D-Link DI-624 wireless router.
It appears that the router can not get a WAN IP address from the cable modem, Motorola Surfboard SB4100, or the internet. The connection to the computer is fine.
D-Link support could not resolve. Comcast says they can't help.

Answer : No WAN IP Address

It depends on where. On your computers ,YES (should be 192.18.0.1), but in wont be a problem if you use your ISP DNS address. The router (192.168.0.1) will act as a DNS server. On your router, under the STATUS tab, under WAN, you must have as DNS, the DNS address of your ISP.
