Question : Automatically log on Novell client on Windows 2003

Hi Experts:
I have a Windows server 2003 that has Novell client on it. We use the client to connect to a shared drive on a Novell server. After I log on the Windows 2003 locally, is it a way to make the novell client automatically log on?

Thanks

Ok, well...you probably won't like what I have to say next but I still have to say it.

[1] Configuring it manually is going to be quite a chore for a lot of people compared to using the utility.  The Autolog utility that was previously mentioned makes this TID a 10 second process instead of a much longer process.  Just as a note, you don't have to install the autolog software at all - it's a stand-alone EXE file that grabs your client settings and makes sure everything is setup right, then you just fill in the blanks.

But this TID here is what I have used in the past (and have done it on a Windows 2000 server but never 2003) with great success:

[2] I don't know how much you do with the Novell client on your particular server but if it's sole purpose is to access one single share, I would suggest thinking about implementing CIFS so you can simply run a script to use a "net use" command to map the Netware drive instead of having to load up the whole Novell Netware client in order to access the server.  This will give you less bloat on your server and an easy way to map the drive and access its files.
