Question : Tomcat not deploying WAR file

Hi,

I am trying to deploy a web application to tomcat 6.0. Quite new to this.

I have been given a war file.

I have read that, in theory, just dropping the war file into the C:\Tomcat 6.0\Webapps folder (C:\Tomcat 6.0 is catalina home) should do the trick, and at least the war file should be expanded into a subfolder in webapps.

This doesn't happen.

I have restarted Tomcat and nothing happens either.

I have searched in the logs for some error ... but nothing there related to this war file.

Where should I look ? What I am missing ?
