Question : LanManRedirector Error: network issues?

We have a Maxtor NAS 4000 series file server that is pretty heavily used. Some of the users have been getting network errors pretty regularly saying:

"Windows was unable to save all the data for the file \device\lanmanredirector\ntdb3\j\access.mdb the data has been lost. This error may be caused by a failure of your computer hardware or network connection. Please try to save this file elsewhere."

Also "Disk or Network Error"

These error happen "mostly" when a user is running a query in an access database on the NAS box against a oracle backend on another box.

We've pretty well eliminated the oracle side, and are working on testing our Cisco Switches.

Has anyone heard of problems similar to this on the Maxtor NAS? or Windows 2000 in general"

Most all clients are Dells running windows 2k sp3, with some 98se thrown in.

Any help would be appreciated.
