Question : Win 2000 Termincal Services licensing...
|
|
If connecting to a Termincal Services server via the internet, can that person use a "standard" terminal service license or is the only option the Internet Connector License? Such a person is a "non-employee" of the organization in a literal sense?
Thank you for any assistance.

You can use the "Standard" TS Client License. Also, if that person is running Windows 2000 Pro or XP Pro, the license is included with their OS, so you don't even need to buy a TS CAL for them.
Either way, you will need to have a regular CLient Access License for them also since they are accessing a server in your network, in addition to the TS CAL (whether the TS CAL is one you purchase, or one that was included with their OS).
