Question : ADUC 3rd Party Tools for Enterprise Use
I am looking for some recommendations on 3rd party tools that can be used for completing Help Desk level tasks in AD. I am especially interested in something that can be used by Help Desk techs for Creating/Copying new users, easily managing group memberships, reseting passwords & disabling user accounts. They currently use the ADUC interface but I would prefer to have them using something a bit more idiot-proof.
Of prime importance is a tool that has it's own logs. We would like to be able to look through logs and see what tech performed an action on what date. Something like this:
Date Action User
1/1/2008 UserX Created HelpDeskTechY
2/1/2008 UserX password reset HelpDeskTechZ
1/1/2009 UserX Disabled HelpDeskTechY
I've been searching for days and have found a ton of products that don't really look what they will do what we need. I'm hoping that somebody has found a good one they can recommend.
