Question : How I can to do an DNS or IP autoritative for a domain?

Hi Experts!

I ´ve a domain .gob.mx and I need to add in my hostmonster.com(HM) account. But when I try to point the domain to HM, nic.mx told me that the HM DNS it´s wrong (no autoritative). When I entry to HM support, they told me that it´s a problem of the registrar (nic.mx). When I entry to nic.mx (registrar), tell me that is a problem of the hosting. I don´t understand nothing.

Thnx for the answers

You need to modify your DNS server; It needs to be set as "authoratative". This means that the server will perceive itself as the master authority for that domain and all subdomains.

Once it is authoratative for that DNS zone, your registrar's checks will pass and you'll be able to associate with that DNS server.
