Question : Vista Business and DHCP

Hi,

Hopefully this is in the right place. We just installed Vista Business on two computers and when we boot up, we can't get an IP address from our DHCP server. Are there new settings I need to know about in Vista? If I take my laptop home and connect to my Wi-Fi, I get an IP with no problem. At work, we are using DHCP from a Windows 2003 SP1 server and at home I have a Linksys WAP. The only way we are getting the laptops to work here is to give it a static IP address. Otrherwise in DHCP it tells us we are in Local Only mode and get served an internal 169 address from Vista. Any suggestions would be great!!

Thanks

Answer : Vista Business and DHCP

All of my builds have been clean. I don't do upgrades period.
There is always a chance of something coming across from Windows XP, which may be the case here.

Simon.
