Question : Querying for IP address on Netopia 9100 Cable/DSL router
|
|
I have a Netopia 9100 DSL/Cable modem router connected to a MediaOne RoadRunner Cable modem. The DHCP lease expires every few days, and I need an automated way to basically send the *ROUTERS* WAN IP address to a text file on one of the boxes attached to the router (2 linux boxes, one mac). The boxes are given static IPs, in the 192 range. I'd prefer to write a script that works on one of the linux boxes, but if there is a Mac solution, that's fine too - I just need the IP checked and written to a text file at regular (say, 2 hour) intervals.
