Question : Setup Dialup Server with connection through ADSL modem (PPPoE)

I have setup web, ftp, SSH, BIND and dial-up servers (Fedora core 1) in a private network environment (192.168.x.x). The dial-up server is communicating through dial-up modems. Everything works fine. My clients can get access to the private network.

Is it possible to setup the dial-up server with ADSL modem (PPPoE) so that the dial-up server will always be connected to the internet and my clients will be able to access the private network through the dial-up server (through the internet)?

I am not thinking about the web hosting with dynamic IP solution, but just to make use of the ADSL modem linkage to the internet as communication media and my clients can get access to the private network via the internet and directly to the dial-up server.

If it is possible, please tell me how to setup the dial-up server. Also, please tell me where to find the "how-to" documents.

Thanks.

Answer : Setup Dialup Server with connection through ADSL modem (PPPoE)

It depends on what services they need to access. You can allow them to SSH into the dial-up server and access the internal network from there but this is not straight forward for the users to do. The best way would be to setup a VPN server.
