Question : WinXP Network Connection Stops Intermittenly

I have a Windows XP machine. Periodically, network connections would stop working.
When I try to ping out, it cannot even reach the local subnet.

There doesn't not appear to be any symptom before it goes down. The network icon does not indicate anything perculiar and ipconfig shows everything as per normal.

I've done virus scans and it did not reveal any viruses. Wndows Defender is also installed and does not indicate any malware present.

If I reboot, most of the time it would work again. If I do ipconfig/release and renew, similiarly, it would work at times. Any advice?

Answer : WinXP Network Connection Stops Intermittenly

Check the cat-5e cable or checnge the switch/router port and then check or also check the powermanagement of network card menas it goes to standby to save the power ( in deive manager>right clecik to network card driver >power management>disable the standby option).

Or reinstall the network card driver software and check the firewall settings of router and sp2.

If not solved then repalce the network card.
