Question : Concerns about connections to my pc?

I was on Yahoo messenger and whenever i talked in a private conversation with an individual (3 times) I noticed that when running 'netstat -a' they or someone was connected directly to my pc. Each time i logged off and went back in and talked privatly to that same person i found within a few seconds the same user connected. The ports shown on my PC each time were 1464, 1230, 1398 though i did not record the port used by the other end.
An i being paranoid as ive searched on usage for these port numbers and can find no application that runs using these ports.

If you where using a video app with yahoo, this does not look like much to be worried about.
