Question : HOW TO BRIDGE A STANDALONE NET AND LOCAL LAN

Hai, we have standalone control device(SBC) with following TCP/IP address.
IP addr:192.168.31.10
sub net mask: 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway: 192.168.1.1
Web Page addr:192.168.31.26 (for accessing the program stored in SBC)

This SBC needs to be connected in place of one PC  in local  LAN and it's TCP/IP settings is
IP addr:10.205.177.54
sub net mask: 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway: 10.205.177.50
There is no DHCP server.
So,we took a PC with dual nic card , connected both network and bridged both network. Now we are able to ping either standalone net or local LAN of which TCP/IP is used for Network Bridge Connection.
So,kindly suggest us how to bridge both standalone net and local LAN and what would be the TCP/IP setting of Bridge connection.
Is there any other method, other than bridging, to connect both standalone net and local LAN.

Answer : HOW TO BRIDGE A STANDALONE NET AND LOCAL LAN

Hi,

Please do correct me if I am wrong...

You want your SBC "192.168.31.10" to be accessible to the 10.205.177.0/24 network? Since these two are on different subnets so by bridging they can not access each other. You need to do this on Layer-3. So you need to do routing between the two different subnets.
