Question : XP networking problem

i have 1 laptop and 1 workstation both connected to a dsl gateway router. internet access on both is fine.

     Laptop IP :        192.168.2.3
     Workstation IP:  192.168.2.2

both are running XP pro.
both are part of the workgroup "mshome"

i can ping from one another
(can ping laptop from workstation)(can ping workstation from laptop)


When i click "View workgroup computers" on my laptop, only my laptop shows but
when i click "View workgroup computers" on my workstation, both show.


When i go to my network places on my laptop, nothing shows.
When i go to my network places on workstation, shared docs show.


i cant access any shared folder or printer across the network.


Can anybody help.

Interesting.  you should have receive a logon window..  try it with a share that you have specified, instead of the Admin$ share..
