Is it possible to upload to the www.MegaUpload.com website using a Windows Explorer Window (just like how you can upload and download to any other standard FTP website)?

How can this be done?

Hi,

No it is not. Normal site uploaders just download the index page, parse it and then follow links in the page. They go on till they have a list of all links and content in the page such as html pages, images, flash objects, js objects etc.

But as you might have notice there's nothing in megaupload web-page like that. Even most of the links were activated dynamically using javascript.  So there's nothing t follow and create the list of objects. So your uplaoder will anly get portions of their frontpage this is it.

Furthermore they allow only subscribers to download and they have an assigned quota to the account owners. Furthermore all links are generated dynamically and the exact location of the file repository is obfuscated. So you can not just change the file name at the end and get another file from the same path even if they were located on the same physical disk. So all paths are hidden from the user. Besides the content over their servers is way too much to be uploaded over a typical internet connection within a reasonable time. Even if  you were It would take up thousands of petabytes (million Gbytes) to store all these information so it wou not fit on a conventional hard disk.

So as I've told in the beginning it is both practically an technically impossible to upload all  their content to your computer.

Cheers,
K
