Answer : Problem installing community builder with Plesk

My install errors I was getting were ...

/var/www/[my domain name]/httpdocs/images/comprofiler/install_4ae97de86d0ea/index.html} in write binary mode Installer - Error
Uncompressing /var/www/[my domain name]/httpdocs/administrator/components/com_comprofiler/pluginsfiles.tgz failed.

Warning: file /var/www/vhosts/[my domain name]/httpdocs/administrator/components/com_comprofiler/pluginsfiles.tgz still exists. This is probably due to the fact that first installation step did not complete, or second installation step did not take place. If you are sure that first step has been performed, you need to execute second installation step before using CB. You can do this now by clicking here: please click here to continue next and last installation step.

I worked out what was wrong. Our web host had php safe mode switched on. Community builder needed to use some of the functions that safe mode disables in order to install. However, I must caution people to ensure that they blacklist or disable the use of certain php functions that safe mode disables. At least one of these functions will allow a hacker to retrieve all usernames and passwords of those hosted on the server.
