Question : Romaing profile does not load after password change.

I have a Windows 2003 domain and about 1500+ roaming profiles and using XP Pro (SP2/SP3) as the clients.  The roaming profiles work fine until the option to force the user to change password at next logon is checked.  The user turns on the computer, enters their logon information and they are prompted to change their password.  They change their password and get the confirmation that the password was changed but then instead of their romaing profile being loaded, they get the default profile from the local machine.

I also notice this behavior if I create a new user with a romaing profile path and have the option checked for the user to change their password at next logon, it all works except they pull the default local profile instead of the default domain profile.  Any help would be greatly appreciated as I have 1000 accounts that are coming up on password change time.

I had the same problem and got it fixed by a fix ( which is yet to be released for public) KB958058 . if you need this fix please contact microsoft.
