Question : Scavening in DNS

I am trying to enable auto scavenging in DNS. A lot of my servers with static IP addresses are checked "Delete this record when it becomes stale". I uncheck the box and come back later it is checked again. I delete the record and manually create it and everything looks fine. I refresh and the boxes are checked again. How can I get these records to never scavenge?

Change the DNS-zone to be AD-integrated and change the permissions on the record to only allow admins to update the record.
The DHCP client is running indepented of having static IP or configured through DHCP lease and will keep the host record alive while the NIC has been configured to register record in DNS.
