Question : System error -16049 when assigning universal password policy
|
|
I am in the process of setting up a test network with a SUSE Linux server running FreeRADIUS and a NetWare 6.5 server to test our new wireless solution. I am trying to assign a universal password policy to a test user in iManager, but I get the error message listed below.
"Error: -16049 A System error occurred"
This is what is installed on the NetWare server
Apache Web Server 2.0.59 Apache Admin 2.0.59 Beans for Novell 1.1.0 ConsoleOne Reporting 1.3.6 ConsoleOne 1.3.6 DNS/DHCP 6.2.0 EDIR 87.3.9 EDIR Management 87.3.0 iManager 2.6.0 iMonitor 2.3.0 LDAP 87.3.9 MYSQL 4.0.26 iPrint 4.0.6 NDS8 87.3.9 NICI 2.7.0 NLS 5.0.2 NMAS 3.1.2 NSN 2.0.0 OES 1.0.3 OpenWBEM 3.1.0 Perl 5.8.4 PKIS 3.2.0 Remote manager 4.0.1 SAS 1.7.5 SMS 1.1.5 SPack 6.5.6 SSH 3.7.1 Tomcat admin 4.1.31 Tomcat 5.0.19
Any ideas on what could be causing this?
Thanks.

TID 3629717 sounds like it fits your issue.
You have to 1) make sure the universal password policy is assigned to or inherited by the user before trying to assign a Universal Password and 2) make sure the server keys are correct and the same on all servers
I don't know if that part 2 includes importing the server key into certificate services on the SLES box or not. How are you securing the FreeRADIUS comm between the SLES box and eDirectory - is it via secure LDAP? Are you using the freeRADIUS eDir integration? http://forge.novell.com/modules/xfmod/project/?edirfreeradius
